Claire Freeman, BSc (Hons), MSc, FCPodS

Claire’s interest in foot mechanics developed as a teenager, from her love of dance. She studied Podiatry at Brighton University and while there are many specialisms within the field, movement and biomechanics has always been her passion. She went on to work in general practice at Kent NHS trust before moving to East Surrey Hospital and Lewisham Hospital as a specialist podiatrist in the Podiatric Surgery unit.

She completed her MSc in Theory of Podiatric Surgery at Brighton University and a pupilage in podiatric surgery at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She achieved her fellowship (FSPodS) in 2010.

Between 2010 and 2013 she served as a registrar at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust where she was awarded a Certificate of Completion in Podiatric Surgery Training (CCPST).

Outside her private clinic, Claire has held a post as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at the Independent Health Group since 2013.

She lives in Sussex with her husband and has three grown up children. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, walking and the theatre.
