Claire Freeman, BSc (Hons), MSc, FRCPodS
Claire’s interest in foot mechanics developed as a teenager from her love of dance. She studied Podiatry at the University of Brighton and discovered that there are many specialisms within Podiatry. However movement and biomechanics have always been her passion. After graduating, she stared working in Podiatric General Practice at Kent NHS trust. From there, she moved to work part time at both East Surrey Hospital as a Specialist in Podiatric Biomechanics and at Lewisham Hospital, as a Specialist Podiatrist in the Podiatric Surgery unit.
Claire completed her MSc in Theory of Podiatric Surgery at the University of Brighton, and her pupilage in Podiatric Surgery at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She gained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Podiatry Surgery (FRCPodS) in 2010.
Between 2010 and 2013 she worked as a Registrar in Podiatric Surgery at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, following which she was awarded the Certificate of Completion in Podiatric Surgery Training (CCPST).
Outside her private clinic, Claire has held a post as an NHS Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at the Independent Health Group since 2014 and as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Ramsay New Hall Hospital in Salisbury.
She lives in Sussex with her husband and has three grown up children. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, walking and theatre.
